Annapurna Region has attracted tourists for decades with its unparalleled natural beauty complimented by the diversity in vegetation, local culture and nature as a whole. It is one of the most popular trekking routes travelled every year in the world. The trekking trial is encompassed by The Annapurna conservation Area Project (Estb 1986) which has been working to preserve the environment that makes the place so special. The project covers over 7600 square kilometers which is the entirety of your trekking here. The breathtaking mountains and its unique eco-diversity and the local lifestyle untouched by globalization are the major eye candies of the trek.
Main Mountain Attractions:
The highest pass is Thorongla Pass that is 5416 meter.
The major clans inhabiting the lower elevation areas in the Annapurna Circuit are Magar and Gurungs while Bhotias, Mananges and Thakalis live in the higher altitudes. All of the tribes follow Buddhism and have different culture with different costumes, songs and traditions.
Muktinath is one among the most popular Hindu Temples in Nepal that lies in the Annapurna region. People from all over the country swarm in to visit this ancient temple below the mighty Himalayas. 1225 species of plants, 103 species of mammals, 473 species of birds and various other mountain reptiles and amphibians inhibit the landscape.
Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, Check in to hotel, Preparation for Trekking
Day 2 Kathmandu sightseeing and Preparation for Trekking.
Day 3 Drive to Beshisahar and stay at Khudi.
Day 4 Trek to Sirung (2200m) from Khudi.
Day 5 Khudi to Chamje (1410m) trek
Day 6 Trek to Dharapani (1960m) from Chamje.
Day 7 Trek to Chame (2710m) from Dharapani (Note: Chamje and Chame are different places)
Day 8 Trek to Pisang (3300m) from Chame.
Day 9 Trek to Manang (3500m) from Pisang.
Day 10 Rest at Manang for the night.
Day 11 Trek to Kharka (4110m) in the morning leaving Manang behind.
Day 12 Trek to Thorang Phedi after the stay at Kharka.
Day 13 Excursion to Thorang La Pass and down to Muktinath (3800m).
Day 14 Trek from Muktinath to Marpha (2670m).
Day 15 Trek to Kalopani from Marpha.
Day 16 Downward Trek to Tatopani
Day 17 Trek to Ghorepani from Tatopani
Day 18 Trek to the popular Ghandruk village
Day 19 Trek down to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.
Day 20 Back to Kathmandu via bus or plane.
