Annapurna Base Camp

Annapurna Region has attracted tourists for decades with its unparalleled natural beauty complimented by the diversity in vegetation, local culture and nature as a whole. It is one of the most popular trekking routes travelled every year in the world. The trekking trial is encompassed by The Annapurna conservation Area Project (Estb 1986) which has been working to preserve the environment that makes the place so special. The project covers over 7600 square kilometers which is the entirety of your trekking here. The breathtaking mountains and its unique eco-diversity and the local lifestyle untouched by globalization are the major eye candies of the trek.

The highest pass is Thorongla Pass that is 5416 meter.

The major clans inhabiting the lower elevation areas in the Annapurna Circuit are Magar and Gurungs while Bhotias, Mananges and Thakalis live in the higher altitudes. All of the tribes follow Buddhism and have different culture with different costumes, songs and traditions.

Thengboche Monastary is one among the many Buddhist Monastaries in the Annapurna region that trekkers will come across. People from all over the country swarm in to visit this ancient temple below the mighty Himalayas. 1225 species of plants, 103 species of mammals, 473 species of birds and various other mountain reptiles and amphibians inhibit the landscape.

  • Itinerary 1 : 13 days Trek

    Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, Check in to hotel, Preparation for Trekking
    Day 2 Fly to Pokhara (25 mins). Drive to Nayapul (1.5 hrs) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m).
    Day 3 Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2860m)
    Day 4 Trek to Poonhill (3193m) for Sunrise and descent back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Trek to Tadapani (2660m).
    Day 5 Trek from Tadapani to Sinwa(2350).
    Day 6 Sinwa to Deurali (3200m) trek.
    Day 7 Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) via Macchapuchhre Base Camp (3700m).
    Day 8 Return back to Bamboo (2300m).
    Day 9 Trek from Bamboo to Jhinudanda (1780m).
    Day 10 Trek to Nayapul (1070m) from Jhinudanda. Car drive from Nayapul to Pokhara.
    Day 11 Pokhara Sightseeing
    Day 12 Back to Kathmandu and Kathmandu Valley sightseeing
    Day 13 Departure to desired destination from Tribhuwan International Airport

    Day 4 Trek from Landruk to Sinwa (2350m)

  • Equipment Recommended for the Trek

    Not many people are used to walking (or breathing) thousands of meters over sea level. Thus, for a stress free and successful trekking trip, we recommend the following packing list for you. Remember, this is just a guideline. But we do strongly recommend these items as a most.

     Upper Body (above hips)

    • 1 Hat or scarf (preferably large to protect your face from the sun)
    • 1 Fleece hat or balaclava to protect your head
    • 1 Sunglasses with UV protection is recommended
    • 2 T-shirts
    • 2 Light weight thermal tops
    • 1 Fleece jacket or pullover
    • 1 Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (optional)
    • 1 Waterproof shell jacket for snow fall

    The Guest’s safety is one number one priority while travelling with us. Please be advised that your guide/team leader has the authority to cancel or change any part of the itinerary if the situation calls for it. There are many things that cannot be predicted during a trip. Since we will be travelling at higher altitudes than you are used to, weather conditions, health of a trip member, unexpected natural phenomenons might require us to change the plans for safety’s sake. The team leader/guide will try to make sure that the trip will follow the itinerary, but please make up your mind beforehand that you might have to be flexible if deemed necessary.
